We are looking for a dedicated optometric technician to assist the optometrist with the vision and medical eye examination of patients. The optometric technician will help with eye examinations, perform clerical duties, and maintain and clean the examination equipment.
Optometric Technician Responsibilities:
- Take patient medical histories
- Perform basic eye exams and tests
- Answer questions about medications, eyeglasses, and contact lenses
- Help with in-office procedures
- Use diagnostic instruments (lensometers, auto-refractor, corneal topographer, visual field, OCT)
- Maintain ophthalmic equipment
- Send prescriptions to pharmacies
- Coordinate/schedule future appointments
Optometric Technician Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- An Associate's degree as an optometric technician may be a benefit.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivation, and ability to work under pressure.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
