- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours, efficiently managing multiple orders while maintaining attention to detail
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Contribute to catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food with precision and efficiency
- Demonstrate excellent knife skills and food handling techniques to optimize meal preparation speed and safety
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with food handling protocols
- Proven restaurant or kitchen experience, especially in fine dining settings, showcasing advanced culinary skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly with an eye for detail
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving in a fast-paced environment is a plus
- Excellent knife skills combined with proficiency in food industry best practices for food handling and safety
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness
