We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server / Food Runner / Packer to join our sushi and Thai restaurant team. This role focuses on providing excellent guest service, handling dine-in and takeout orders, delivering food efficiently, and supporting smooth service operations. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and at least 1 year of experience working in an Asian restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages promptly, accurately, and courteously
- Assist with food running from kitchen to tables
- Handle takeout orders, including order entry, packaging, and guest pickup
- Assist with bartending duties as needed, including preparing and serving alcoholic beverages
- Support basic food preparation tasks such as plating and garnishing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining, service, and bar areas
- Use POS systems to enter orders and process dine-in, takeout, and bar payments
- Buss and reset tables efficiently
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Communicate with guests to ensure satisfaction and address questions
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to support service flow
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Minimum 1 year of experience at an Asian restaurant (Japanese, Thai, or similar) – required
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality
- Bartending experience preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation practices
- POS system experience (Square)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and customer-service mindset
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and peak hours
Pay: From $11.98 per hour
