We are seeking a motivated and driven Sales Trainee to join our CPG sales team. This entry-level role is designed to develop future sales leaders through hands-on training in retail execution, account management, and customer relationships. The Sales Trainee will work closely with experienced sales professionals to learn the fundamentals of selling, merchandising, and growing branded consumer products in a competitive marketplace.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to begin a career in CPG sales, route sales, and distributor-based selling.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Territory Sales Managers in executing sales plans across assigned retail accounts
- Visit grocery, convenience, mass, and independent retail locations to ensure proper product placement, inventory levels, and compliance with planograms
- Build positive relationships with store managers and retail personnel
- Assist with new product launches, promotions, and resets
- Collect and report competitive and marketplace insights
- Learn basic sales analytics, forecasting, and territory planning
- Participate in ride-along training and ongoing coaching sessions
Training & Development
- Structured onboarding program focused on CPG sales fundamentals
- Hands-on field training with experienced sales leaders
- Exposure to route sales, distributor operations, and retail execution
Qualifications
- Strong interest in sales and consumer products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and perform physical retail tasks Why Join Us
