We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Traveling Mechanical Construction Project Manager to lead large-scale mechanical construction projects across the United States. This role is responsible for managing all phases of project execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, safety compliance, quality control, and client relations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong leadership skills, and is willing to travel nationwide on a long-term basis.
- Manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.

Oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement, manpower planning, and resource allocation.

Coordinate with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure successful project delivery.

Monitor project performance and proactively address challenges to maintain schedule and budget objectives.

Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with all company, client, and regulatory safety requirements.

Review and approve contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.

Lead project teams and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings throughout project execution.

Support project turnover and closeout activities, ensuring client satisfaction and successful handoff.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.

5+ years of experience managing mechanical construction projects.

Experience with large commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, data center, or mission-critical projects preferred.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, piping, plumbing, and construction processes.

Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and project teams.

Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively in dynamic environments.

Approximately 10-hour workdays (60-65 hours per week)

Candidates must be willing and able to travel anywhere in the United States without exception

Employees temporarily relocate to the project site for the duration of each project, including project closeout, before transitioning to the next assignment

Company-paid round-trip flights home every 3-4 weeks for a 2-3 day visit
