The employee is responsible for coordinating and implementing comprehensive student success strategies that integrate academic support services, tutoring coordination, career readiness, placement support, and student engagement activities at the San Juan Campus. This position serves as a central point of contact for students and plays a key role in supporting retention, persistence, and overall student development

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Student Success and Academic Support (Core Functions)
- Coordinate student onboarding processes, including orientation, transition activities, and dissemination of institutional resources.
- Support the implementation of first-year experience initiatives to promote student adjustment and early engagement.
- Monitor academic progress, attendance, and engagement indicators to identify at-risk students.
- Manage early alert processes, including identification, tracking, and follow-up in collaboration with faculty and academic leadership.
- Provide individualized student support through one-on-one meetings focused on academic planning, time management, study skills, and goal setting.
- Coordinate intervention strategies and facilitate referrals to institutional support services (Counseling, Financial Aid, Student Health, Tutoring, etc.).
- Maintain documentation, track student success metrics, and participate in case management, retention initiatives, and outreach efforts.
Career Development & Placement
- Lead and manage student and graduate placement processes in alignment with institutional and accreditation expectations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers, clinical affiliates, and external partners to expand placement opportunities.
- Identify and cultivate new placement sites, employment pipelines, and strategic partnerships.
- Provide individualized career coaching, including resume/CV development, interview preparation, job search strategies, and professional branding.
- Design and implement career readiness initiatives such as workshops, development series, and job preparedness programs.
- Coordinate career-related events including career fairs, employer sessions, networking events, and recruitment activities.
- Track graduate outcomes, maintain placement data systems, and align placement strategies with academic programs, licensure requirements, and workforce trends.
- Student Engagement & Institutional Support
- Support and collaborate in student engagement activities, wellness programming, and campus-based initiatives across campuses.
- Assist in planning and execution of student activities, including workshops, wellness programs, and engagement events.
- Provide logistical and operational support for institutional events (Orientation, Graduation, Awards Ceremonies, etc.).
- Integrate career development components into student activities (career talks, employer sessions, professional development workshops).
- Provide on-site event support, including student coordination, registration, and facilitation.
- Promote student activities and engagement opportunities to encourage participation and involvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align student engagement, academic success, and career readiness initiatives
- REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Higher Education, Business Administration, or related field. Preferred: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Higher Education, MBA, or related field.
- • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in higher education, student services, academic support, placement, retention initiatives, or event coordination.
Pay: $30,000.00 per year
