Job Summary
Annapolis Yacht Services is seeking an Experienced Marine Technician to join our growing team on a full-time basis as we continue to expand our marine service operations. We are looking for a motivated, dependable professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience working on sailboats and/or powerboats. This position requires a technician who is capable of handling a variety of marine service and repair tasks, can effectively prioritize multiple projects, and consistently follows through to complete assigned work accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are essential.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in the marine industry servicing sailboats and/or powerboats.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a professional attitude.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple service jobs simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities, and ensure all assigned work is completed to a high standard and within established timelines.
- Ability to inspect, diagnose, and clearly communicate the nature and extent of installations, repairs, malfunctions, or warranty claims with the project manager.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering dependable, long-lasting repairs.
Candidates should have experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Sail drive service
- Prop Speed application
- 1,000-hour engine service
- Window repair or replacement
- Through-hull repair or replacement
- Sailboat rigging
- Marine electronics and electrical systems troubleshooting
- Marine engine diagnostics and troubleshooting
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work overtime during peak boating seasons, particularly in the spring and fall.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
