Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Gymnastics and or Cheer Coach to inspire and develop young athletes in a dynamic, positive environment. In this role, you will lead Gymnastics and or Cheerleading classes, coaching participants of various skill levels to improve their techniques, build confidence, and foster a love for physical activity. Your passion for sports, combined with your ability to motivate and teach children, will help create a fun and safe space where athletes can thrive. Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging gymnastics and cheerleading training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Teach proper techniques for tumbling, stunts, jumps, and routines while emphasizing safety protocols
- Lead team practices for cheer squads or gymnastics groups, fostering teamwork and discipline
- Monitor participants’ progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement to promote continuous improvement
- Enforce behavior management strategies to maintain a positive, respectful environment during all activities
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for growth
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed diligently, including AED operation and first aid/CPR readiness
Experience
- Prior coaching experience in gymnastics or cheerleading is highly preferred
- Experience working with children in sports or educational settings is essential
- Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction, including martial arts such as karate or climbing techniques, is advantageous
- Demonstrated team leadership skills within sports teams or coaching roles
- Background in swimming, soccer coaching, basketball, or other team sports enhances your versatility as a coach
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or similar health and safety training is preferred
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support positive student engagement and discipline
