We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrician and Instrumentation Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. - Electrical Electrician: must have a working knowledge and proficiency with installing, repairing and maintaining industrial electrical components and equipment. Lighting, electrical protective devices, motors, inverters, soft starts, wye-delta systems along with hard wired and ethernet based control; Must have a working knowledge of schematics, mathematics, preventive/predictive technologies, basic computer literacy, safe electrical test and measurement best practices
- Instrumentation Electrician: must have an awareness and be able to perform calibration and documentation of functions pertaining to the key elements of: Flow Measurement, Level Measurement, Pressure, Temperature, Analytical Instrumentation; Must be able to troubleshoot process control loops – using key elements and specialized testing equipment
- Wire Pull Electrician: Must have an awareness and be able to perform functions pertaining to: Terminating motor starters, control & power wires; Cut, thread, bend and install raceway (conduit) and cable trays in an industrial setting; Install wire through raceway and cable trays to be tested by MCA; Must be aware and able to follow standards laid out by NECA 101
- Electronics or Industrial Electricity preferred, but not required. Ability to obtain State Journeyman Electrical License upon meeting state required qualifications; ability to obtain ISA’s CCST Level 1 Certification.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, sensors, and distributed control systems (DCS) within manufacturing environments.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, AutoCAD drawings, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Calibrate sensors, vision inspection systems, and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with operational standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment such as CNC machines, pumps utilizing hydraulics, Calypso systems, and other automated machinery.
- Conduct field service activities including troubleshooting PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCS systems, and motor controls in real-time operational settings.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify electrical faults; perform high voltage testing safely.
- Support mechanical maintenance tasks by understanding mechanical components involved in manufacturing processes; collaborate with mechanical teams for integrated repairs.
- Assist in the development of schematics using AutoCAD or similar software for system upgrades or new installations.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities; participate in safety audits and training sessions regularly.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to operational issues and minimizing downtime through effective troubleshooting.
Skills
- Extensive experience with industrial electrician work including low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation calibration, sensors, vision inspection systems, and precision measuring instruments.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, AutoCAD drawings, and understanding of mechanical components relevant to manufacturing equipment.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), CNC machinery, Calypso software, and automation controls.
- Familiarity with hydraulics systems used in industrial maintenance along with mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively; experience with calibration procedures is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to high voltage work; experience working with sensors and automation in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Experience working in field service environments; strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent customer service orientation.
- Background in military or industrial maintenance roles is advantageous; familiarity with vision inspection systems is a plus. Pay: $34.00 - $39.50 per hour
