Midas of Westfield is now open and we need a team of motivated automotive service technicians! Business is booming and we need techs ready to meet the challenge. We are hiring all levels of technicians, full-time or part-time, so whether you're learning the ropes or an A-level tech ready to control your income, we want to talk to you! We have immediate openings for general service to heavy line techs and can place you immediately. We're a full-service shop, offering services from tire repairs to complete motor or transmission swaps, so the opportunities are endless for the right candidates. Weekend positions are available for those seeking supplemental income or greater schedule flexibility.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle repairs and maintenance on all makes and models.
- Perform diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently.
- Service and maintain vehicles by replacing parts, performing alignments, wheel balancing, and ensuring proper vehicle maintenance protocols are followed.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex issues related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), automotive electrical systems, and other electronic components.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards and dealership procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Proven technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Solid mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and electrical components.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service tools.
- ASE certification is a plus.
- Must have your own tools. Specialty tools are provided as needed
Pay: $45,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
