The Diablo Range District is looking for a creative and passionate individual to fill the Park Interpretive Specialist position in the Delta Sector.
The reporting location for this position is Brannan Island State Recreation Area, 17645 CA-160, Rio Vista, CA 94571, with travel to other work locations, including Locke Boarding House and the Delta Meadows property, both in Locke.The Park Interpretative Specialist will work as a team member of the District Cultural Resources Program in the Delta Sector supporting the preservation of museum collections. The position assists with the organization, preservation, inventory, digitizing district archives, supporting the Museum Technician to preserve historic objects and artifacts at the Locke Boarding House and Benicia State Capitol State Historic Park. This position will work under the direction of the Supervisor, Cultural Resources Program.
The work week for this position is Monday through Friday; occasional weekend or evening assignments may be scheduled. This position may work up to 1500 hours within 12 consecutive months. This position is designated as not telework eligible.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
