Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems and relay orders efficiently to kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightlife settings
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and billing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations within the food industry
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is a plus, along with culinary or kitchen experience for versatile roles
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order calculations
- TABC Certification
- Food Handler Card
- Must be at least 18 years old
