Pay: $40 - $44/hour
Schedule: Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm as needed

Children's Dental Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Bethlehem Oral Surgery Center.
The Oral Surgery Nurse provides clinical nursing support for patients undergoing oral surgery procedures in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include patient education, IV insertion, medication administration, intraoperative monitoring, and post-anesthesia recovery care.
The nurse collaborates closely with surgeons and clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with regulatory and infection control standards.
Responsibilities also include making decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicating appropriate information to other team members, as well as assisting with maintaining equipment, supplies, cleanliness, and overall efficiency. This role requires flexibility to assist with varying schedules and patient volumes as needed.

Plan, implement, and evaluate preoperative, intraoperative, and recovery nursing care for patients of all ages based on individual and specific patient needs.

Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of medication administration and effects, patient assessment, arrhythmia detection, patient teaching, emotional/social support of patients and families and other needed clinical competencies.

Document care appropriately and fully. Follow up on missing data and other patient care needs.

Complete all narcotic counts.

Follow OSHA guidelines for blood borne pathogens and body fluids and communicable disease

Understand and prioritize patient requirements.

Show up to your scheduled area dressed and ready to work at your scheduled start time.

Make suggestions for process and performance and quality improvement.

Follow AORN standards for care of the perioperative patient.

Use good body mechanics and aseptic technique.

Help turnover every room during every turnover when available.

All other duties as deemed appropriate

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of PA.

Basic life support required upon hire. ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire.

Cleared through the State of PA to work with children, determined through Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Clearance
