About the Role
Insync Consulting is seeking an experienced Referral Specialist to join the Referrals Division and provide administrative support to physician offices. This role is responsible for processing internal and external referrals, obtaining insurance authorizations, and communicating with medical offices and insurance companies to ensure referrals are handled accurately and timely.
Key Responsibilities
- Process internal and external medical referrals.
- Obtain insurance authorizations and verify referral requirements.
- Work referral Work Queues in Epic.
- Scan, fax, and maintain medical records and documentation.
- Respond to correspondence and follow up on referral requests.
- Communicate with providers, medical offices, and insurance companies.
- Answer and manage a multi-line phone system.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience working in a medical office.
- Experience conducting insurance authorizations is required.
- Epic experience is required.
- Experience working in Epic Work Queues is required.
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be sufficiently fluent in English to perform the essential functions of the position.
