Position Overview:
We are seeking reliable and skilled CDL Class A Truck Drivers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials for construction and excavation projects. The ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate CDL Class A or B trucks to transport materials such as sand, gravel, asphalt, and debris to and from job sites.
- Efficiently load and unload materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and compliance with safety regulations
- Plan and follow efficient routes to deliver materials on time while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any mechanical issues or needed repairs.
- Secure equipment and loads properly to prevent shifting or spillage during transport.
- Perform minor adjustments and routine maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while operating vehicles and working on job sites.
- Maintain accurate records of loads, delivery times, and vehicle maintenance activities.
- Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, field crew, and dispatch to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
- Fuel vehicles as needed to ensure they are ready for daily operations.
- Operate and drive different types of heavy equipment such as Front-End Loaders, Excavators, Dozers, Dump Trucks, Compactors, Tractors, Off Road Trucks.
- Load and unload heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing heavy equipment.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of heavy equipment deliveries with pre and post photos to include times, dates, and locations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, road conditions, and any issues encountered during routes.
- Assist in training new drivers in safe driving practices and company policies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.
- Previous experience operating dump trucks or similar vehicles preferred.
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and DOT traffic regulations.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of safety practices related to construction and excavation.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulations in commercial driving.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
