Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal in our Personal Injury Litigation Team. The position involves working on (1) written discovery, (2) e-filing, (3) drafting documents and (4) reviewing litigation cases with attorneys.
Duties
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case preparation, discovery, and trial support
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using various case management software and legal research tools
- Draft and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Manage case files and document repositories utilizing document management systems like Filevine or similar platforms
- Organize and maintain case-related data entry, filing systems, and electronic records to ensure accuracy and accessibility
- Coordinate client communication by providing updates, gathering information, and handling confidential information with discretion
- Support the discovery process by reviewing documents, preparing discovery requests/responses, and assisting with data collection efforts
Experience
- Proven paralegal experience within a law office environment specializing in litigation or related fields
- Demonstrated ability in legal drafting, including pleadings, discovery documents, and correspondence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily administrative tasks and document creation
- Experience using case management software and document management systems such as Filevine or equivalent platforms
- Excellent proofreading skills to ensure error-free legal documents and communications
- Familiarity with legal terminology, legal discovery procedures, and the overall litigation process
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective client communication skills coupled with a professional demeanor for handling sensitive or confidential information
- Technical proficiency in Word processing and data entry to streamline administrative workflows
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Personal Injury litigation is plus
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred
Compensation
- Firm provides comprehensive bonus structure
- Annual base income ranging from $60,000 to $84,000 based on previous experience
Pay: $60,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year
