Executive Chef Justen Moser has spent the last three years learning under the tutelage of Chef Grant Achatz at 3 Michelin Star Restaurant Alinea in Chicago. We’re looking to develop a team to execute the best culinary experience in Salt Lake City.
The Role:
We’re looking to hire multiple Chef De Partie’s to assist in the preparation and execution of fine dining dishes in the Hide & Seek Kitchen. In this role you’ll execute precise kitchen tasks such as setting up kitchen workstations, organizing the kitchen and preparing ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes. A great Chef De Partie will be driven, diligent and organized. You’ll pay attention to detail and you’re able to follow instructions (this includes all health and safety rules in the kitchen). The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.
This role is for the candidate that is looking to learn, grow, and execute at the highest levels of fine dining and experiential offerings. Candidates in this role will be working a minimum of 55+ hours each week.

We are building from the ground up, and believe internal development is essential to a successful journey. As the first hires in our brigade there will be opportunities for advancement (ex. Sous Chef, Tournant, and Executive Sous Chef). A strong palette, fast hands, quality cuts, and attention to detail are non-negotiable traits.
Responsibilities:
- Follow and tailor prep lists for a clear daily plan of attack in a fluid evolving kitchen.
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Undertake advanced cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food,etc.
- Prepare complex dishes and break down a wide variety of proteins and vegetables.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
- Assist your team members in other duties where needed.
Skills:
- Proven experience as line cook or chef
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- A team player with good communication skills and an even temper
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Very good physical condition and endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; Training from a culinary school will be an asset
Experience: Head Cook/Line Cook: 2 years (Required)
Restaurant Experience: 3 years (Required)

License: Food Handler Certification (Preferred)
Pay: $50,000-$65,000 Annual Compensation
