Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a part-time cashier. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle cash transaction accurately, and help maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves and coolers to maintain an organized and attractive store layout
- Perform retail math calculations for sales.
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management by stocking products and conducting regular stock checks
- Maintain a clean and organize checkout area
- Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties as assigned
Requirements
- Prior experience with POS systems and cash handling is highly preferred
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory purposes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with diverse customers
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Part-time hours available including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
