- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3 shifts a week or Saturday's
Weekday, weekend.
Job Summary
Rarejem Care is seeking compassionate and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide one-on-one private duty nursing services for an adult patient in Chicago (60611).
This position offers consistent 12-hour shifts, one-on-one patient care, and the opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care according to the physician's orders and individualized plan of care.
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor for changes in condition.
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
- Provide wound care and monitor skin integrity.
- Assist with bowel and bladder management as ordered.
- Monitor vital signs and accurately document all care provided.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educate the patient and family regarding the plan of care.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient.
Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN or LPN license in good standing.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Minimum one year of nursing experience preferred.
- Home health, private duty, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred.
- Experience with spinal cord injury, wound care, catheter care, or total-care patients is a plus.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to pass a background check.
