Our practice is an implant center/focused practice. Should be comfortable with hygiene related to fixed hybrid prosthetics
We are looking for one day a month to start!
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to empower them in maintaining healthy habits.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort.
- Manage and update electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix with accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and medical histories.
- Take and interpret dental radiographs (medical imaging) ensuring proper aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained.
- Review documentation for accuracy, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and support infection control protocols to uphold safety standards.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification.
- Proven experience in general dentistry and familiarity with pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding practices.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with medical records management is a plus.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse age groups, including pediatrics.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting seamlessly while maintaining aseptic technique during procedures.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and documentation review processes to ensure comprehensive patient assessment.
