NK Restaurant looking for an experienced and passionate Day Porter/Janitor to help support our team in a fast pace upscale concept. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience cleaning, enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively. Cook responsibilities
- Clean restrooms and Front of House and Bar area
- Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager and Cooks to clean during our dining hours
- Maintain accurate cleaning inventories
- Properly clean all areas at appropriate times of the day
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures
- Restock bathrooms for subsequent shifts
- Ensure that entire restaurant is cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
Cook skills
- 1+ years’ experience as a cleaning in the restaurant industry
- Able to read and follow standardized instuctions
- Strong knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitizing
- Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
Requirements
- Must possess strong cleaning skills
- Must be able to lift heavy items, up to 50lbs
- Experience working in a restaurant
- Must maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
- Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
- The ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions, requesting clarification when needed
- The ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with all restaurant employees
- The ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times and display a positive and enthusiastic approach
- The ability to be cross trained in all areas of the restaurant
