We are seeking an experienced HVAC Department Manager to lead and grow our HVAC division. This is an office-based leadership position responsible for overseeing daily department operations, coordinating technicians, managing customer relationships, preparing estimates, and ensuring high-quality service.
The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on HVAC experience and is ready to transition into a management role. This position requires someone who understands the technical side of the trade while also having the organizational and leadership skills needed to run a successful department.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the HVAC department.
- Manage, support, and coordinate HVAC technicians and field operations.
- Schedule service calls, installations, maintenance, and replacement projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians.
- Prepare and review estimates, proposals, and quotes for service work, installations, and replacement projects.
- Work with customers to understand their needs and provide accurate recommendations and solutions.
- Review labor, materials, and job requirements to ensure accurate pricing and profitable projects.
- Manage parts ordering, inventory levels, and supplier coordination to ensure technicians have the necessary materials to complete jobs efficiently.
- Monitor department workflow, productivity, and overall performance.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and help resolve service issues.
- Identify opportunities for system upgrades, replacements, and additional services.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes, regulations, safety requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC installation, service, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Experience preparing estimates, quotes, and job pricing.
- Experience managing parts, materials, and inventory preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer proficiency and ability to work effectively in an office setting.
- Must possess all required HVAC licenses and certifications.
- Valid driver's license required.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
