On-Demand Rentals is looking for a dependable and safety-minded Yard Forklift Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate a large-capacity forklift to move, load, unload, and organize rental equipment throughout our yard. This position requires experience handling heavy equipment and loading commercial trucks safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate a large-capacity forklift (15,000 – 50,000lbs) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload rental equipment from flatbed trailers and delivery trucks.
- Move and stage equipment throughout the yard.
- Prepare equipment for customer pickup and delivery.
- Inspect equipment for damage before and after transport.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with other yard duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Current forklift certification required.
- Experience operating a large-capacity forklift (15,000 lbs or larger).
- Experience loading and unloading heavy equipment.
- Ability to work safely in an outdoor yard environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and bending.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment and commercial trucks.
