Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, blueprint reading, and the ability to work with various materials. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Fabricate metal components using various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Assemble ductwork and other metal structures as per design requirements.
- Operate plasma cutting equipment for precise cuts in metal materials.
- Utilize machining tools for shaping and finishing metal parts.
- Safely operate forklifts and cranes to move heavy materials around the worksite.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality control throughout the fabrication process.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Strong welding skills with experience in MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes.
- Ability to fabricate and assemble metal structures efficiently.
- Experience with ductwork installation is a plus.
- Familiarity with plasma cutting techniques for metal fabrication.
- Basic machining skills for shaping metal components as needed.
- Competent in operating forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
