Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Resident Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant night shift(RA/CNA) to deliver high-quality care to our residents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, with experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home and community care settings. As an RA/CNA, you will support residents with daily activities, health monitoring, and personal care needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track residents' health status.
- Provide medication administration following prescribed guidelines and document accurately.
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, utilizing specialized techniques.
- Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling devices safely to assist with resident transfers.
- Engage residents through meaningful activities that promote independence and well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and sanitation standards.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is highly valued. Familiarity with geriatrics, dementia care, behavior management, medication administration, and safe patient lifting practices is essential. Additional qualifications include CPR and First Aid certification, proficiency in standard passenger car operation for community outings, and experience in caregiving roles that involve heavy lifting or manual handling. A background in group home or retirement home settings is advantageous; familiarity with client communication and home care services is preferred.
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
