The Lima Family YMCA is seeking an Aquatics Director to join our team. We are looking for applicants who are available Monday through Friday and some weekends also.
Pay rate:
Beginning salary for this position is based on experience - $40,000-$45,000 per year
Job Description:
The Aquatic Director is responsible for the development and implementation of safe, quality programs for members and guests. This includes coordination and supervision of swimming lessons, lifeguard/open swimming, specialty aquatics programs and CPR/First-Aid/Lifeguard training. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of an Associate’s degree, or three years related experience. Current lifeguard certification is required and experience in recruitment, training and development of staff and volunteers. The YMCA offers an extensive benefit package that includes health insurance, paid vacation days, 10% employer paid retirement and complementary use of Y facilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associates degree in related field or equivalent.
- Three or more years of experience in an aquatic program.
- Ability to train swim and water fitness instructors.
- Excellent communication and public relations skills.
- Computer proficient.
- Requires trainer-level certification in YMCA Swim Lessons within 90 days of employment.
- First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certifications required.
- Current ARC or YMCA Lifeguard certification required.
