Our regional operations group supports international tournament partners, national team stakeholders, and live event delivery teams across major seasonal competitions.
We're hiring a Regional Tournament Operations Manager to support partner-led competition programs across Asia Pacific and Japan. This role sits at the center of rules governance, team readiness, scheduling support, and event execution, with regular coordination across tournament partners, internal product groups, and live operations teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as the primary competition-operations contact for partner teams and federation-style stakeholders across the region

Interpret and apply tournament rules, eligibility policies, and qualification procedures with consistency and sound judgment

Support team readiness by clarifying deadlines, compliance requirements, and escalation paths

Coordinate scrimmage, friendly, and scheduling guidance within approved competition windows

Work with internal operations, publishing, and partner teams to resolve edge cases and timing conflicts

Support dispute handling related to eligibility, policy interpretation, or match administration

Contribute to competition FAQs, process documents, and operational playbooks

Identify recurring pain points and recommend improvements to communications and workflows

Travel to major live events to provide on-site competition support and rapid issue resolution
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of experience in esports operations, league administration, sports competition management, or adjacent live event environments

Strong understanding of how tournament formats, competitive rules, and operational governance work in practice

Experience supporting professional or high-level organized competition

Knowledge of the APJ esports landscape and regional stakeholder dynamics

Ability to manage external partners, vendors, and organizer relationships

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including product, program, and publishing functions

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Calm decision-making under time pressure and in ambiguous situations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Additional APJ language capability such as Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or Vietnamese
