American Traveler seeks a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and 1-2 years of experience for a pediatric outpatient setting.

Pediatric outpatient work setting

Treats infants, pediatric, and adolescent patients

Approximately 9 patient visits per day

Uses Wellsky and Epic for documentation

Supported by interpretation services, physical therapy, and unit secretary staff
-
Flexible day shift schedule with options for 4x10s (Mon, Tue, Thu 0730-1800, Fri 0730-1700) or 5x8s (3 days 0930-1800, 2 days 0730-1600)

No weekend shifts required

Floating to other units and/or facilities may be required

Current BLS certification
-
Current CCC-SLP certification
-
License required if applicable
-
1-2 years of experience required
-
Epic charting experience required

Skilled in adaptive equipment and communication boards
-
Experience treating autism, birth defects, developmental delays, and language disorders

Knowledge of signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse

Ability to provide patient and family education
-
Provide assessment, evaluation, discharge planning, and reassessment services for pediatric patients
-
Perform SLP evaluation coding and Medicaid billing documentation
-
Develop and update plans of care based on patient progress
-
Educate patients and families on therapy goals and techniques
-
Collaborate with physical therapy and interpretation services for comprehensive patient care
-
Black scrubs required
-
First-time travelers will be considered for this role

Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible

Returning staff must have a 1-year gap since last worked as permanent staff

Requested time off of 7+ days requires manager approval and holidays are excluded
