Short Term Residential Treatment Program is seeking a Mental Health practitioner to join our Treatment Team
Program Overview- Agape Homes/Changing Faces Inc. are both non-profit corporations. The companies serve as a Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program. We provide services to female-identified youth ages twelve to seventeen (12-17) years of age as well as non-minor dependents (NMD) to provide a positive, strength-based, and healthy environment with embedded treatment services. The purpose of STRTP is also to be able to stabilize, get treatment, maintain at a lower level of care, and ultimately in a home-setting of some kind. For these youths to establish stability, permanency, independence, and success in a home-setting, in school and in the community.
Job Duties:
- Creates individualized treatment plans according to youths needs and circumstances.
- Meets with youth weekly to provide counseling , treatment, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Family Counseling as needed
- Medical Billing - ability to produce notes through Agency EHR or designated county billing platform
- Conducts on going assessments of youth's progress
Job Qualifications:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist
- Internships available for ASW, AMFT, working towards licensure.
- Experience a bonus with Medi-Cal documentation and billing
- Experience and or working towards identifying and implementing evidence-based practices
- Experience and or working towards a crisis setting with high- risk individuals and families
- Ability to work flexible hours with consistency
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially using Outlook, Word, Excel and customized databases
- Ability to work in and adapt the culture of a multi-cultural, community-based organization
- Commitment to maintain confidentiality
- Understanding of the Agency’s mission and culture and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff and clients in all circumstances
- Employment contingent upon clear fingerprint and criminal history record
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of U.S. Department of Justice
- Awareness of and sensitivity to the cultures represented in the STRTP
- Positive inter-personal skills, ability to relate well with persons from a variety of socio-economic and cultural groups.
- Reliable transportation, valid California Driver’s License
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director
- Possess an understanding of mental health, trauma informed care and corresponding diagnoses Demonstrate knowledge of adolescent mental health care Collaborate with an experienced mental health treatment team.
- Previous experience with adolescents and family Therapy is desirable
- Provide Individual and Family Therapy sessions Flexible schedule
- Hours based on case load hours and hours desired per week at our Clinical Office and also on site availability in the homes
- .Computer literacy and EHR experience a plus .
- Weekly Supervision towards licensure

Pay: $40.00 - $65.00 per hour
