Den Mother is a Wellness Retreat bringing slow medicine to the face-paced lives of today. Nestled inside a 1930’s bungalow, which has been transformed into a serene indoor + outdoor oasis. Our offerings include Japanese Acupuncture, Chinese Reflexology, Swedish and Ayurvedic bodywork and Hot and Cold Water Therapies. Our space is unique and we are able to offer both 30 min and 60 min hour long Outdoor Garden Massages in our back garden. These services are paired with our Retail Apothecary and restaurant. Den Mother is a unique healing house where guests come in for a service, but are encouraged to then stay to enjoy the rest of what we have to offer.

Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine individual needs.
- Perform Indoor Massage Treatments and Outdoor Garden Reflexology Services
-Attend and participate in all mandatory staff meetings and trainings
-Comply with all Den Mother standards, rules and regulations
-Set up/break down of service rooms/stations and ensuring cleanliness throughout shift
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and provide recommendations for ongoing care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in providing therapeutic massage services is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pain management techniques.
- Familiarity with acute pain management strategies and customer service best practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients regarding their needs and treatment options.
- Certification from an accredited massage therapy program is required.
- Ability to perform 3.5 hours of massage winthin a shift
-Ability to stand for 6 hours in a row
- Ability to perform frequent repetitive movements and muscle usage
- Ability to carry a 20 lb bucket of water for Garden Reflexology Services
- Must commit to at least two shifts a week (one shift must include Saturday or Sunday)
- Absolute understanding and mastery of draping
- Hold a current CA Massage License
- Hold liability insurance to practice massage in the state of CA
Compensation
$33-$40 per hour + gratuity
