Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide excellent customer service to enhance their experience
- Handle food preparation tasks including food handling, food safety practices, and basic food assembly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering and retail math calculations
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness throughout your shift
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in the food service industry, with strong coffee knowledge preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for seamless transaction processing
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items naturally and boost revenue opportunities
- Exceptional customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for all guests
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, proper food handling, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings
