GAMA Contracting Services, Inc. is currently seeking candidates for the position of Project Manager. As Project Manager, you will need to be able to organize and coordinate demolition and abatement projects. You will need to reach out to new general contractors, suppliers, and consultants for new and on-going projects. Knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and bidding are all required for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects throughout the entirety of the job
- Develop cost estimates and schedules
- Review weekly costs to complete
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and senior management
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts among team members
- Plan and schedule project timelines
- Know what goes into a bid package and how to put one together properly
- Be able to communicate clearly and with details for specific elements of the project when dealing with individual clients/contractors
- Keeping an organized file for each project including: any correspondence, receipts/invoices, contracts, biding documents, and any other crucial documents.
- Maintain safety precautions and relay any concerns with your superintendent
- Comply with all Federal, State, and local legal requirements
- Meet all project deadlines
Qualifications:
- Good verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of how to communicate various construction ideas and concepts
- Have an understanding for what safety measures are required in a demolition project
- Must be self-driven and motivated while possessing leadership skills as well
- 5 + years of abatement and demolition experience
- Knowledge of Asbestos and Lead abatement, Mold Remediation
