About the Contract Opportunity
RelateSpark® Transition Readiness is seeking an experienced facilitator to lead structured social and relationship-readiness groups for transition-age students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The program is delivered inside participating schools in RelateSpark® Transition Readiness is seeking an experienced facilitator to lead structured social and relationship-readiness groups for transition-age students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The program is delivered inside participating schools in St. Louis, MO. Each cohort includes approximately 8 to 12 students, generally ages 18 to 22.
The facilitator leads one 75-minute session each week for 16 weeks. A school staff member remains available to support the classroom environment, while the facilitator leads the curriculum and group activities.
This is a supplemental independent-contractor engagement. It is designed for professionals who want meaningful part-time work alongside their current employment, practice, education, or other professional commitments.
What You Will Facilitate
The curriculum addresses practical social and relationship-readiness skills, including:
- Communication and conversation
- Friendship and healthy relationships
- Emotional regulation
- Self-advocacy
- Personal boundaries
- Conflict management
- Social problem-solving
- Independence and community participation
The program includes a starting diagnostic, weekly progress documentation, a post-assessment, and an outcome report.

Required Qualifications
Applicants must have direct experience supporting people with intellectual or developmental disabilities in one or more of the following settings:
- Direct support or residential services
- Day habilitation or community participation programs
- Special education or transition services
- Applied behavior analysis or behavioral support
- Social work, counseling, recreation therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language services
- Other comparable IDD or disability-service environments
Applicants must also:
- Be comfortable facilitating a structured group of young adults
- Communicate respectfully using clear, adult-appropriate language
- Be available on a fixed weekday during school hours
- Commit to the full 16-week semester

Contract Terms
- Independent-contractor engagement
- $1,130 per cohort
- Up to four cohorts may be assigned
- $1,130 to $4,520 per semester, depending on assignments
- Mileage reimbursed at $0.485 per mile, capped at 100 round-trip miles per session
- Approximately three hours per week per cohort, including delivery, preparation, documentation, assessment, coordination, and travel
- Renewable by semester based on program need and successful performance
