Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and energetic Expo/Food Runner to join our vibrant hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food and beverages from the kitchen to dining areas, adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling procedures.
- Assist in food preparation and plating to ensure dishes are presented beautifully before serving.
- Support the serving team by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining spaces.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders, communicating special requests or dietary restrictions clearly.
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders efficiently when needed.
- Help with heavy lifting tasks, including moving supplies or equipment around the restaurant or banquet areas.
- Maintain food safety standards by following proper handling procedures and hygiene practices at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food handling, food safety regulations, and safe lifting practices.
- Experience working with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Exposure to banquet service, catering events, or hotel environments can be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude are essential for interacting effectively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, or food preparation will help you excel in this role.
