EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports Conservation Districts as they carry out programs that protect soil and water resources across Pennsylvania. The primary focus of this role is to provide comprehensive training, guidance, and communication to help districts meet state and federal expectations. As a Conservation District Field Representative 2, you will perform the following duties:
Program Guidance: Provide direction to help districts meet obligations and strengthen conservation programs-
Training Support: Develop and deliver training for directors, managers, and staff on conservation procedures and programs

District Oversight: Monitor programs, review goals, and assist districts with planning, budgeting, and compliance

Liaison Role: Serve as the main communication link between the department, Conservation Districts, and the State Conservation Commission

Technical Assistance: Assist district and department staff with issues involving erosion control, nutrient management, and stream or wetland concerns

Program Evaluation: Participate in district evaluations and support improvements to enhance program effectiveness

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

This position requires travel, including multiple early morning and evening meetings on a weekly basis. Some statewide overnight travel is required 4-6 times per year.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, upon successful completion of the 6 month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. I f you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51,971.00 (before taxes).
