Job Overview
Perform a variety of venipuncture techniques involved in the collection of blood specimens from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Must be able to give shots and take vitals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
- Perform a variety of routine blood drawing procedures to include venipuncture techniques using standard equipment to include vacutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, syringes, and butterfly needles.
- Confer with patient to obtain information for laboratory records, explain procedures, allay fears and elicit cooperation.
- Utilize standard procedures for the maintenance of positive patient identification; record appropriate collection information on proper requisitions.
- Prepare, process, label, and store patient specimens and samples according to departmental procedures using standard techniques and equipment, for subsequent analysis by Clinical Laboratory staff. Provide technical guidance to phlebotomy students assigned to work area.
- Maintain inventory of supplies; record as required; stock supplies on carts and hand trays. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education and/or Experience: Work requires an educational background generally equivalent to a high school education. MUST HAVE AT LEAST1 year of resent Phlebotomy experience. Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and be able to effectively communicate. Must possess compassion, understanding, patience, and work well with other staff. Physical Demands:
- Intermittent physical activity including: lifting, walking, standing, sitting, bending and stooping, kneeling, crawling.
- Occasionally, may be required to work extended periods of time
- Location: On-Site wellness services for professional environments such as schools and corporations.
*Company vehicle for long-distance travel. Job Type: PRN - Full-Time from August 21, 2025 through November 21, 2025. Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week. Pay: $18.00 PER HOUR Bonus offered at the completion of the contract.
