Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and hard working Meat Cutter to join our team. The right candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong understanding of proper food handling and preparation techniques. As a Meat Cutter, you’ll be responsible for cutting, trimming, packaging, and labeling a variety of meat products while ensuring all work meets strict food safety standards. This is a hands-on role that requires standing on your feet throughout the day and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs.
Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare a wide range of meats to customer specifications
- Package and label meat products for display and sale
- Follow proper storage and handling procedures to ensure quality and safety
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering as needed
- Provide excellent customer service with a focus on quality and detail
Requirements
- Previous meat cutting experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong knife skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time and lifting 50 lbs regularly
- Team-oriented with good communication and customer service skills
- Culinary training or background a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour
