Position Summary
The Loader Operator/Yard Man is responsible for safely operating loaders and other heavy equipment while maintaining plant grounds, managing material inventory, and supporting daily plant operations. This position ensures materials are properly handled, stockpiled, and available for production while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. The Loader Operator/Yard Man works closely with plant personnel to support efficient operations and maintain compliance with Company safety policies and procedures.
Safety-Sensitive Position
This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position. Employees must be able to safely operate heavy equipment and machinery and are subject to applicable Company drug and alcohol testing policies.

Safely operate loaders and other heavy equipment in accordance with Company policies and safety procedures.

Perform daily equipment inspections and safety checks beforeoperatingmachinery.

Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, or unsafe conditions to the Plant Manager promptly.

Operate equipment to load, move, stockpile, and organize materials.

Maintain proper material levels by keeping bins topped off and pushing material into designated areas.

Assistwithmaintainingplant grounds by keeping the yard clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Follow supervisor instructionsregardingassigned work areas and daily operational needs.

Understand and follow safe work practices involving ground disturbance and changing site conditions.

Handle and move construction materials safely usingappropriate equipmentand techniques.

Inspect plant areas daily and report safety concerns, equipment issues, or maintenance needs to the Plant Manager.

Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the batch office and surrounding areas.

Immediately notify the Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager (if the Plant Manager is unavailable) of any vehicle accidents, safety violations, injuries, or incidents.

Follow all Company safety policies, procedures, and required reporting practices.

Frequently bend, twist, kneel, crouch, squat, reach, and balance.

Operate equipment controls and hand tools.

Work around moving mechanical equipment, vehicles, and heavy machinery.

Maintain awareness of surroundings while working in an active plant environment.

Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, humidity, and dust.
