Job Summary
Coastal Building Supply is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for receiving, organizing, and loading building materials while operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Load and unload trucks with building materials
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory
- Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for delivery or pickup
- Maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Follow all company policies and OSHA safety guidelines
- Assist customers and drivers as needed
Qualifications
- Forklift experience required; certification preferred
- Previous warehouse or building materials experience a plus
- Ability to lift heavy materials (often 50+ lbs) and work on your feet
- Basic math and inventory skills
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and cleaning driving record
- CDL is not required, but is a strong plus
This position plays an important role in keeping Coastal Building Supply's warehouse and delivery operations running efficiently. The primary focus is warehouse operations, forklift operation, order preparation, inventory handling, and maintaining a safe and organized facility.
Candidates who are able to provide additional support by making deliveries when needed will be especially valuable to the team, but delivery experience and a CDL are not requirements for the position.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
