POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provides and supervises direct and indirect nursing care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients under the general supervision of a registered nurse. Maintains overall departmental operations in accordance with the facilities mission and philosophy. Participates and maintains performance improvement activities to assure highest standards of care.
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduated from an accredited Practical Nursing Program
Current License by State Board of Nursing required
Current BCLS required
PALS and ACLS required
PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS:

Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the work day, lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.

Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned.
