Overview

Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage construction crews, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications
- Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents to interpret project requirements accurately
- Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 or other construction management software to meet deadlines
- Oversee quality control processes, ensuring compliance with federal safety regulations such as OSHA standards
- Manage subcontractors and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services
- Conduct site inspections regularly to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions promptly
- Utilize tools like Bluebeam for digital plan review and document management during construction activities
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, safety incidents, and project documentation for reporting purposes
Skills
- Proven experience managing construction sites with a strong understanding of construction management principles
- Proficiency in construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and HeavyBid for estimating and project planning
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and using tools like ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) and best practices for construction site safety
- Ability to read and review construction drawings thoroughly to ensure accurate implementation of plans
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and managing project resources effectively
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing teams in a construction management role
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and contract management including reviewing contractual obligations
- Competence in using construction site safety equipment and managing quality assurance protocols
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
