Position Description:
As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) you will assist in maintaining a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment. Must be able to engage clients in skills training, designed to enhance functioning leading to community integration and self-sufficiency in living, learning, social and work environments. You must have experience facilitating groups with substance use and co-occurring disorders. You will be responsible for submitting clinical documentation. *
Duties include facilitating Individual or Group sessions not limited to the following: General Mental Health (GMH), Substance Abuse, Addiction, Independent Living Skills (ILS), psychoeducation, activities (therapeutic or recreational), health and wellness promotion, Emotion Regulation, personal assistance services, anger management, rehabilitation and vocational skills, case management, training and development services, transportation services and crisis management. Skills/Requirements:
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Be punctual in reporting to work
- Must have reliable means of getting to work
- Must have ability to think outside the box, be engaging, and creative
- A High School Diploma/GED and relevant experience in a behavioral health setting
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
