Seeking an ASL-fluent clinician capable of serving a mixed caseload consisting of both signing and non-signing clients.
Essential Duties
Depending upon specific program, assignment may perform any or all of the following:

Provides direct clinical work and/or therapeutic services to clients and families as measured by supervision and/or direct or taped observation.

Complies with productivity standards of the Agency and maintains an appropriate caseload to reach the budgeted daily expectation of billable hours. (refer to Productivity Policy)

Submits timely documentation (progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, notes to chart) as outlined in policy and measured via productivity reports (refer to Progress/Case Note Submission Policy).

Continually assesses the needs and symptoms of clients and families (meets medical necessity) formulating psychosocial diagnosis, gathering history, and determining the most appropriate method (s) of providing treatment/Evidence Based Practice (individual, family, group, supportive, outreach etc.)

Continually assesses client progress and modifies treatment via completion and submission of outcome measures.

Accurately documents all work with client and/or family and/or relevant persons as measured by QA standards and peer review audit results.

Participates in clinical/case supervision by coming prepared to discuss current caseload, documentation and productivity; accepts constructive feedback and direction; and puts feedback into clinical and/or therapeutic practice with clients.

Establishes and maintains rapport and effective working relationships with child (ren), families, and community; works effectively within the Agency and community at large.

Advocating and/or ensuring accompaniment for clients (court, medical, mediation, medication, and visitations) with the goal to ensure satisfactory placement of a child in a safe, permanent, and stable home setting.

Maintains knowledge of program standards and policies as developed by Five Acres, COA, Community Care Licensing and other governing bodies; develops personal and professional knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the art practices; participating in in-service programs.
Qualifications
To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have:

Experience providing services to both signing and non-signing clients.

Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)

Ability to effectively manage a mixed caseload and communicate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members in a variety of settings.

Master's Degree required
-
AMFT, ACSW, or APCC registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)

Must maintain registration as a condition of employment.
-
Working knowledge of the family patterns, child-rearing practices, special needs, traditions and values of the ethnic and cultural groups served by the program/agency.

Ability to work effectively within a multicultural team and agency.
-
Working knowledge of community resources that address the special needs of the client base.

Ability to attend Day 1 of the Pro Act de-escalating system training.
-
Maintain First Aid/CPR Certification.

Must have a valid California Driver License, proof of automobile insurance and meet the Agency's safe driver guidelines.

Availability of a personal car with appropriate insurance which employee is willing to use for all Agency business, if needed; adhering to federal motor vehicle safety standards when transporting children.

Effective communication skills both oral and written; bi-lingual skills in Spanish/English may be preferred.

Ability to be flexible and work in a changing environment.

Computer skills sufficient to meet production demands of the job including Microsoft Office and WELLIGENT software for program notes.

Ability to work varied hours including evenings, nights and weekends.
Compensation Range: $70,304/yr - $106,162/yr
