Job Summary
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Venture Health, you will provide direct care and support to clients in their homes. CNAs play a vital role in promoting clients’ safety, comfort, and overall well-being. This position requires professionalism, reliability, and adherence to all Virginia home care regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor clients’ vital signs, report changes in condition, and communicate observations to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with medication reminders as allowed by state regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment.
- Document care provided and client observations accurately and promptly.
- Follow infection control protocols and proper hygiene practices.
- Respond professionally to client and family needs.
- Participate in training and continuing education as required.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Virginia.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous home care or long-term care experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable transportation to travel to client homes.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening before starting.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely lift and assist clients.
- Stamina to stand, bend, and move clients as needed throughout the shift.
Compensation
- Competitive pay: $16– $18 per hour (based on experience).
- Mileage reimbursement will be discussed on final interview.
- Flexible scheduling for independent contractors.
