About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on and highly motivated Station Operations Specialist to support daily last-mile delivery operations at our Middletown, NY station. This role works closely with Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), drivers, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery operations, monitor performance, resolve daily issues, and continuously improve station efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, onboard, and build long-term partnerships with Delivery Service Partners (DSPs).
- Negotiate contracts and service pricing with DSPs to ensure cost-effective and high-quality delivery services.
- Provide daily operational support to DSPs, addressing issues and ensuring smooth delivery processes.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers on daily station operations, including delivery issues, returned packages, and other operational exceptions.
- Monitor package deliveries to ensure accurate tracking and on-time performance.
- Handle returned packages and follow up on delivery-related exceptions to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain and organize package and station operational data and support daily reporting.
- Resolve delivery-related issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure DSPs comply with company policies, contractual agreements, safety requirements, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and align on delivery strategies and resolve operational issues.
Requirements
- Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus.
- Experience in logistics operations, transportation, vendor management, warehouse operations, dispatching, or a related field. Experience with DSPs or last-mile delivery is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with operational data and basic reporting; proficiency in Excel is preferred.
- Familiarity with logistics systems and industry regulations is preferred.
- Educational background in logistics, supply chain management, analytics, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Able to work a 6:00 AM–2:00 PM rotating schedule, which may include weekends based on operational needs.
- Must be able to reliably commute to Middletown, NY 10941.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
