About the Role
As a Marine Pipefitter, you will play a critical role in the fabrication, installation, and repair of complex piping systems for commercial and passenger vessels. You will utilize your technical expertise to ensure all marine piping assemblies meet rigorous quality and safety standards, directly contributing to the operational success of our fleet.
Responsibilities-
Fabricate, fit, and install piping systems, including fuel, fire suppression, and HVAC lines, based on precise engineering blueprints.

Operate specialized machinery such as pipe benders, threading machines, and plasma cutters to prepare components for assembly.

Perform layout and installation of pipe spools in various environments, from the fabrication shop to final vessel assembly.

Execute tack welds and minor structural welds using MIG and Arc processes to secure piping foundations.

Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot system issues and ensure efficient project completion during all phases of repair.

Maintain a safe, organized workspace by adhering to strict shipyard safety protocols and best practices.

Mentor junior team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

5+ years of professional experience in pipefitting or a related marine trade.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings and piping isometrics.

Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using torches, saws, and metal forming equipment.

Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varied physical positions.

Basic welding proficiency (MIG/Arc) and understanding of hydraulic systems.

High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.

Prior experience in a shipyard or heavy industrial repair environment.

Certification or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or manlifts.

Advanced fabrication skills in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.

Experience as a Shipyard Competent Person or similar safety certification.

Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in guiding crew operations.
