Calibrate precision instruments across New England - we train you
Custom Calibration keeps New England's manufacturers, hospitals, and labs running accurately. As a Field Calibration Technician, you'll travel to client sites and certify that their instruments measure true - to fractions of a percent - and document every step so the results hold up under audit. No experience needed; we provide the training. What you do need is the temperament: precise, patient, reliable, and comfortable working on your own at a customer's site.

You're the person who double-checks your work, keeps things organized, and takes pride in getting details exactly right. You're comfortable driving to different sites, managing your own day, and representing a company professionally to customers. If you'd rather rush through tasks and skip the paperwork, this isn't the role - and that's okay.
What you'll do:
- Travel to client sites across New England to calibrate instruments (pressure gauges, thermometers, scales, electrical devices, and more)
- Follow documented calibration procedures exactly and record measurements accurately on certificates
- Maintain measurement traceability and follow our ISO 17025 quality procedures
- Represent Custom Calibration professionally on-site and communicate clearly with customers
- Learn under an experienced technician until you're authorized to work independently
What we need from you:
- Precise and patient - genuinely comfortable with careful, repetitive, detail-heavy work
- Dependable, punctual, and able to self-manage a day in the field without hand-holding
- Solid basic math and mechanical aptitude; able to read instructions and schematics
- Valid driver's license and a clean enough driving record for company insurance
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen where customers require it
Nice to have (not required - we train):
- Military calibration (PMEL), metrology training, or electronics/engineering-tech coursework
- Prior lab, QC, precision manufacturing, or field-service experience
Schedule and travel:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, day shift (typically 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM). Early starts are common to reach job sites.
- Company vehicle provided for client-site work; mileage reimbursed when a company vehicle is not available.
Pay and benefits:
- $22-26 per hour, with the top of the range for relevant background, certifications, or a strong driving record
