Job details:
Our job is Monday through Friday no weekends. Our job begins at 5:00 pm and ends at 11:00 pm, so it is a 6 hour shift per night, which totals for 30 hours a week.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without compromising safety.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture, cleaning supplies, or equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness standards by dusting, mopping, sweeping, polishing, and disinfecting surfaces to promote a healthy environment.
- Operate custodial equipment efficiently, including floor buffers and scrubbers, to ensure optimal floor care and maintenance.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning agents to ensure facilities are well-equipped at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols during cleaning routines and report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers is advantageous.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is essential.
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills to complete cleaning duties efficiently during scheduled hours.
- Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff or visitors when needed.
