Myrtha Pools USA is looking for an Accounting Specialist to add to our growing team.

As the North American division, we represent the Myrtha Pools brand by sharing the passion for aquatics and the expertise in our unique technology.
Our company is in need of a well-organized, detail oriented Accounting Specialist to support our team of professionals. The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company by ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately, maintaining organized financial records, and assisting with monthly and year-end close processes.
The position is in person at our office in Sarasota, FL. Remote work is not offered for this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
- Prepare payment runs via ACH, wire transfers, checks, and credit card payments.
- Maintain vendor records and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and issue customer invoices.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections.
- Manage project cash flow
- Maintain customer account records and resolve payment issues.
General Accounting
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close.
- Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
- Record and reconcile employee expense reimbursements.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare routine financial and operational reports.
- Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
Administrative & Compliance
- Maintain organized accounting files and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company procedures.
- Assist in developing and improving accounting processes.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- 2-3 years of professional working experience in accounting
- Studies/background: accounting, preferably with swimming background or experience in swimming pools.
- Languages: fluent in English, preferred second language Spanish
- Available to travel for short periods of time in the USA and Caribbean. Occasional travels overseas (Italy).
- Office 365 suite and apps, Adobe, QuickBooks.
