About the Role
This isn't a "stand and wait" job. We're looking for a natural people-person to run our booth at Bay Area farmers markets — someone hungry to hit sales goals, who loves striking up conversation with strangers, and who genuinely lights up talking about food.
What You'll Do
- Set up and break down the booth (early mornings, weekends)
- Greet and engage every person who walks by — no one gets ignored
- Sample and sell our nougat and mousse cake line, explaining flavors and ingredients with real enthusiasm
- Hit weekly sales targets and track performance
- Build repeat customers — remember faces, follow up, turn browsers into regulars
- Represent the Hill House brand: quiet luxury, small-batch, made with care
What We're Looking For
- You talk to strangers easily and enjoy it — this is non-negotiable
- You're motivated by hitting numbers, not just clocking hours
- A real interest in food, flavor, or baking (no professional experience required)
- Reliable, punctual, comfortable with early hours and physical setup
- Bonus: past sales, hospitality, or farmers market experience
